In partnership with Durham artists, Art Ain’t Innocent hosted our first Art Parade on Saturday June 10, 2023

The Art Parade is a celebration of Durham art and artists, as well as an invitation to support artists as vital laborers.

We commissioned 9 artists and a total of 35 groups participated in the parade.

The route for the parade began in the Scrap Exchange parking lot at The Shoppes at Lakewood. We processed across Chapel Hill Road, east on W Lakewood Ave and through the Lyon Park Neighborhood on Cornell St, Halley St, and Kent St, passing by art shared by the neighbors and performances along the way! We returned back to our starting point, ultimately heading west on W Lakewood Ave. The total length of the route was approx. 1.7 miles!
